What is the easiest way to get CPR first aid training?
Q. I used to have my CPR and First Aid renewed ever year or two, depending on where I had the training (usually red cross or american heart association). i wouls really prefer to avoid actually going to a class. bot my certificates are expired. can i get certified online anywhere reliable?

A. You absolutely can not get certified online. You need to be able to demonstrate you can perform the skills. Since you've been certified for years, you should know this. Just make an appointment with your local ARC by phone or online and go in and take the class. CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer is like a 5 hour class. It's annoying, but you need it. I'm not sure about how long community CPR classes take.

Does anyone know any inexpensive cpr/first aid classes in Orange County?
Q. Looking for Adult/Child/ Infant CPR and basic first aid classes. And also want to spend some where under $30, the cheaper the better. The class also needs to be in the Orange County area.

A. Red Cross is probably the best idea. Quality, I'd say. You can also become an active member of RC, perhaps that's the cheapest way. Give and take goes a long way. R.O.

How can I become certified in CPR and First Aid?
Q. I need my certification in CPR and First Aid before I can start my new job. I have looked some Red Cross centers in my area, but there are no classes available in the next two weeks. Where else can I get a valid certification? (I'm from NJ if that helps!)

A. Besides military training, the most widely accepted certifications are the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and National Safety Council. There are some others, but these are the 'big boys'. If none of them are doing it in time for you, try your local fire dept., hospitals, YMCA, community colleges. health professions schools, or independent CPR instructors in your area (sometimes you can find them by googling CPR and your city). It surprises me that they are not offering one in the next two weeks at your Red Cross- ours usually runs two or three classes a week in that topic.
